Beho Beho Bushblog – Salum – 25th July

salumblog

It is a week now since I have came back from my off days! I have done a few game drives around our local area and all has been great. On the first evening I took a family to the Hippo pools and the roller coaster. I was amazed to see the number of Elephants at the Msine river crossing and the number of Hippos at the Hippo pool is picking up. The evening light and the sunsets have been terrific.  At Lake Tagalala it is also fantastic because we saw nice birds, Hippos, Crocodile and a pride of two Lionesses. I have driven in the Beho Beho river bed and seen some Blue monkeys and old Buffalo bulls. The nest colony of bee-eaters is still there and it is the nesting time now. Lake Manze has been fantastic because I have done three drives there and each time has been so different because the first I saw four Lionesses with one Male (One of three musketeers).
