Beho Beho Bushblog – Onesmo – 14th June

As the days move on the changes appear. Green turns to gold and hippos gather together because some of the water bodies are drying out. As the morning sun creeps through the palm trees the sound of African Fish Eagles calling from the Msine valley wakes everyone up. The splash of hippos retuning from grazing, spooks all the water bids and they all wake and start the day. Yellow-billed storks fly up the valley in search of food. We sat at the hippo pool watching all this taking place and what a moment. The sound all around us would have made every one appreciate this moment. One hour later we were still staring at this beauty of nature. We could be there all day but time would not allow us. The mornings are a bit cooler giving a very pleasant temperature as one goes around, be it on foot or in an open vehicle.
