Beho Beho Bushblog – Onesmo – 9th January

On the Thursday evening a storm formed from the north, lighting flashed and thunder rumbled as we sat down for dinner. Half an hour later it started pouring down. It was a nice and cool night. Next morning we went on a drive and we found that the eastern side of the park had more rain and the roads were so wet. As we arrived at the battlefield we came across a pride of lions sleeping on the road. We spent some time with them and we then continued bumbling around. The plains had lots of vultures and hyenas so we had our eyes wide open looking for any kind of kill, nothing until we got to the Beho Beho river where we found another pride of six lions. We sat there for breakfast and while in the middle of it Rob shouted what is that????, we all turned around and there was a honey badger walking across the plain. I was so excited as it has been a while since I last saw one and what a sight.
