Beho Beho Bushblog – Walter – 27th Dec

Christmas at Beho Beho and in the Selous has been very special. We’ve had regular sightings of the wild dogs, with them bounding energetically after fleeing impala. Some cases you almost feel like Moses parting the sea, but instead impala running on either side of the vehicle with hungry Wild dogs chasing behind.

With the rains and beautiful greenery, there are numerous beautifully coloured and white butterflies gliding past in masses. Almost making the forests feel magical with fairies gliding past the vehicle or you on foot. The Msini and Beho Beho Rivers have both been flowing, and many of the roads have become pretty muddy, with us guides getting ourselves into some sticky situations. This all adds to the African adventure.

We have had some good lion sightings, one of the Three Musketeers being seen with two females, all three stretched out and doing the flat cat pose; but a lot of general game together, wildebeest, zebra, eland, impala and giraffe. So each and every game drive and walk has been filled with heads moving from one side to the next, almost like watching a tennis match, but in this case different species together.

So wish everyone a Merry Christmas, and hope you have had some fun filled times as we have had here at Beho Beho.
