Beho Beho Bushblog – Onesmo – 7th Oct

We went on a bush night experience and we got woken up in the middle of the night by the sound of Lions calling all over the place. Some were calling from the main camp and apparently walked through the camp while calling. When we woke up we found their tracks behind the camp very close to us. We then went for a walk in the forest where we found quite a few lion tracks but no lions in sight. After breakfast in the bush we came back to the main camp and during lunch the two lionesses were sleeping under a bush in front of the camp. The afternoon walk was very interesting because we met from a distance one of the lionesses and she had a look at us but because we had a good distance between us she was okay. We did not want to get close and so we continued to the forest where we met two Elephants who were very relaxed and took no notice of us. Sun downers were rather rain downers as the rain started falling just enough to make us pack our cameras away but keep on sipping our drinks. We are getting some rain here but what a strange time of the year to have rain.
