Beho Beho Bushblog – Heribert – 14th Sep

Meet the new Manze boys.

I believe I have mentioned two male lions that have taken over the Lake Manze territory, we have found them not once but almost all the time in the last month. There are just two of the adult females left of the Greedy pride and they were happily mating with these two brothers suggesting acceptance to the new rule. I still have no clue as to where the sub adult males from the Greedy pride have gone, a few days ago I saw the two sub adult females of the pride but the males are not to be seen anymore, it is the same story with the last adult female and the cub, they too are nowhere to be seen.

The three Musketeers are still in our area happily advertising their presence every night, a few days earlier they killed a buffalo close to camp. Just yesterday Walter found some tracks of two female lions and possibly a cub, it will be good news for the boys if some females move into their new territory.
