Beho Beho Bushblog – Onesmo – 30th June

It has been a good start to the season as the game viewing has been top class. Wild Dogs are still looking for a denning site and we all hope they are going to find one next to the camp which will give us fantastic sightings.  My mission for this season is rhino tracking and so far I have done two walks which both have given me evidence that this rare and elusive animal is around. On one of the walks we came across some very fresh tracks and we followed them for a while but no luck. The next one we
found a very fresh ‘midden’ so maybe I’m very close to seeing one.
Being out there watching different animals on the plains is as breath taking as the golden African plains themselves and takes your mind away. Last night we had lion roaring and hyenas whooping away and our resident civet is having a good feast by the pool almost every night.
