Beho Beho Bushblog – Sean – 1st June

The Selous is officially open again.
The rains seem to be over, just the occasional build up of clouds with short, soft showers drifting over and Beho Beho is ready for another season.

Game viewing from the camp is still great: giraffe, waterbuck, elephant, impala, zebra, wildebeest are seen daily- one morning the panicked scattering of the waterbuck and impala caught our attention and we watched as three wild dogs loped across the plain. Almost daily the impala and baboon have been shouting their alarm calls at what is most likely a leopard in the riverine forest below camp. Lions have been calling at night across the plains.
Now, let’s go find them!
